Hi, I’m Michael Thompson, a professional wedding officiant now proudly serving Central Florida after several wonderful years in North Carolina. Since 2019, I’ve had the honor of officiating countless ceremonies, each as unique and meaningful as the couples I've served.
Before stepping into this joyful chapter of my life, I served over 20 years in law enforcement — a career that taught me the value of integrity, professionalism, and staying calm under pressure. Those experiences now serve me well as an officiant, helping me bring a steady, confident, and reassuring presence to every ceremony I lead.
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was privileged to officiate intimate elopements for couples who chose love and commitment in the face of uncertainty. That experience deepened my appreciation for the power of marriage — not just as a celebration, but as a deeply personal and important moment where two lives come together in love, intention, and joy.

Why Sláinte?
Sláinte (pronounced “slawn-cha”) is an Irish word meaning “to your health” — often used as a toast during celebrations. For me, it’s more than just a phrase — it’s a nod to my Irish roots and a lifelong love of bringing people together in joy.
Coming from a family proud of our Irish heritage, I grew up with a deep appreciation for tradition, laughter, storytelling, and the magic of a good celebration. Whether it was a family gathering, holiday, or community event, we always found a reason to raise a glass and honor life’s beautiful moments.

A completely personalized ceremony written just for you — whether you're looking for something heartfelt, lighthearted, spiritual, traditional, or totally outside the box (themed, cosplay, or anything in between). Your ceremony will reflect your unique relationship and values.
30-Minute Zoom Coffee Chat
Let’s connect face-to-face (virtually) so I can learn more about you as a couple — your love story, your vibe, and your vision for the big day. This relaxed chat ensures I can craft a ceremony that feels truly you.
1-Hour Rehearsal
I'll be there to help guide your wedding party through the flow of the ceremony, making sure everyone feels confident and everything runs smoothly — so you can focus on the fun and excitement.
2 Hours On-Site on Your Wedding Day
From arrival to "I Do," I’ll be fully present, early, and ready — to coordinate final details, calm nerves, and officiate your ceremony with grace, warmth, and style.
Filing Your Marriage License
After the celebration, I’ll take care of filing all the necessary paperwork with the courts, so you can relax and enjoy your new life together without worrying about the legal details.
